It is with a sincere apology that I announce that I have changed my Title from CEO “ Chief Executive Officer “ to Executive Director. Recently , it was brought to my attention that the word “ Chief “ is not my word to be using. It’s a Title that should be reserved solely for the leaders of tribal nations. My responsibilities have not changed. I’m still fully committed to leading the organization but as you know , one of our Guiding Principles is “ When we know better , we must do better “.
