Luis Sepulveda
He / Him / His
Luis was a genuinely good person who radiated kindness. He identified as Transgender and faced many challenges with his identity. Struggling to find gender affirming healthcare , mental health support and community. He never let challenges keep him from smiling though. He always found a reason to be happy. His favorite artist was Panic At The Disco and he was a true gentleman when it came to women. Placed into the fostercare system because of a biological mother who neglected him. Luis lived in multiple placements. As a young adult Luis struggled to survive financially on his own. Not having the support and privilege of living at home with his parents like many young adults do. Luis experienced homelessness. He eventually found himself being taken advantage of by people who prey on the vulnerable. Luis is believed to be deceased. The story of Luis is heartbreaking and it’s a story that is far more common than people realize. Especially for people who identify as LGBTQ+ - 30% of young adults who ageout of the fostercare system identify as LGBTQ+ - Luis is missed constantly but through his legacy and with your support. We are making a difference.
